Laurent Ragot has been a transactional tax lawyer since 2008 and is specialized in transactional tax law matters, most notably those arising out of private equity and M&A deals. Laurent plays an integral part of the corporate and financing teams and, based on his extensive experience; he is able to provide clients with a unique approach to their taxation issues. He consults for a wide range of multinational groups, investment funds and financial managers and institutions, primarily on the tax requirements for domestic and international transactions (M&A, private equity, and reorganisations). His areas of expertise also include real estate taxation, international and EU taxation, as well as tax litigation. After launching his career in the tax department of Paul Hasting Paris, Laurent joined the Paris office of Hogan Lovells as Counsel in 2016 before co-founding Mermoz in January 2022.
